Articles for ‘Austin Texas Engagement Photography’

I always love to know how couples meet and how the guy proposes. It’s so fun to know the history of the couple. They are so perfect together and such a blast to be around.

Donovan is actually an Austin native… grew up here and we actually went to the same high school, who knew? Marissa grew up a country girl in Midland. She said she wanted to show a little of both of them in their engagement session so we chose to do a city/country session. Loved the way it turned out!

I met up with them this past Sunday and could just tell by the way Donovan looks at Marissa, you just know.  And let me just say that Marissa, you have one of the sweetest personalities!

Marissa, I hope you have the most WONDERFUL wedding day back in your home town this fall. So excited for you!

I headed out to Salado for Kathryn & Jeff’s engagement pictures yesterday. It was REALLY beautiful weather and I loved shooting in a new location. Kathryn & Jeff wanted to see if we could find a barn because they are getting married this December… in Georgia… where there’s actually a barn. Thankfully we found one and it couldn’t have been more perfect.

Kathryn & Jeff, y’all were so much fun – thanks for letting me hang out with you guys yesterday!

we had a fun little visitor haha – he was too cute…

SO – being a new iPad lover – well, I mean, I always was a lover… but I finally stopped staring at them in the store and GOT one – here’s a new fun tool I came across from The Budget Savvy Bride.

The Ultimate Wedding Planner App for the iPad. Even better yet… it’s FREE! Woo Hoo! So, all you Techy Brides (and Apple Lovers in general) will love this.

Go, get it… now… have fun :)

I have really wanted to do this for quite some time. I love my clients and I’m so grateful to them for their trust in me. I recently got some reviews from my Bride and Grooms from this past year… and to say that I’m honored is an understatement. You guys rock!! Seriously.

I thought I’d run a fun little contest for my 2011 clients. There are WAY too many favs, but I thankfully was able to narrow it down to one image per session. Below are some of my FAVS from each of your sessions. So, if you were engaged, a bride, and married all in the same year – you get 3 entries basically. Every session has an image.

SO – get your FRIENDS AND FAMILY TO VOTE!!! The image/session with the most votes will get a $15 iTunes card or Starbucks card (their choice). The contest starts today – obviously :) – and it will end on Dec 23rd (Friday before Christmas). I will determine the winner that day by noon by the most votes. The winner will be contacted and they can choose their prize!!!

Make sure you share on Facebook as well!! NOW – go get those votes!!! This should be fun :)

Caitlin and Ben contacted me about capturing this time in their lives. They’ve been married about a little over a year and just moved to Austin. Actually, the East Coast… to California… to Austin. So much change but I can tell they are having so much fun! They moved for jobs but have fallen in love with Austin, TX. Who wouldn’t :)

They didn’t have engagement photos taken while planning their wedding and Caitlin said she would’ve held it over Ben’s head *much* longer had they not decided to do a shoot to make up for it. It’s also the perfect time for them to use as Christmas photos.

They wanted the photo shoot to include all there is to love about Austin… and I think we did just that. This was one of the most laid back couples ever and they sure know how to have fun. I told them they looked like models and they laughed… Seriously, don’t they look like models? They rocked it and made it so easy for me!
